  4. Fucking hell! Thats some craftsmanship!!

Reminds me of "The Nautilus" with all the lightening holes and ornate bracketry.

    Fantastic.

How can someone pick flaws? This is without a doubt the nicest build thread I have seen! Keep it up Brian.

okay, I'm kidding. just wanted to say something different. Your work is truly stellar and thank you for taking the time (in your obviously busy schedule) to share the build process...I can't wait to see more.

Larry, I'm planning on doing an "official release" at the Roundup. I would like to start out doing the conversion on an exchange basis since I don't yet have a stockpile of backing plates laying around.

As of right now, estimated retail price will be $475.00 + shipping. The converted backing plates will work with both original Ford drums (1.75" shoe), and the new "Lincoln style" (2.0") drums...as well as Buick finned drums that have had the normal necessary modifications. I'll just need to know which drum you want to use beforehand.

These will be manual adjustment for now....although I am looking into the possibility of doing self adjusting brakes later on.

If you can't wait until the Roundup, and have a good pair of front backing plates for cores, I am willing to start taking orders immediately. You will have to allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.

    Thanks!

    -Brian

I've got a lot of work ahead of me if I'm ever to be a hotrodder a fraction of your worth.

i hope you know i was joking about the destructive test. it was a setup for the "people crying" line. my first post was all accolades and no engineering mumbo jumbo. i would never recommend such stupidity in real life regarding the work here. i was trying to politely refute our collegue with the friend from boeing whose criticism was obviously flawed. especially since brian is making most everything into i-beams, and the holes are on the nuetral axis. in other words, its fine. whatever. its real cool. i want one. i wish i was that good. etc. and i am not joking there.

in other news, i hope to put my own build thread up soon. although seeing this one is making me feel a bit inadequate. i might do it anyway. you only live once. maybe our friend from boeing can pee on my cornflakes.

The workmanship is excellent. But what really knocks me out is the vision you have to create. The rivets, the motor mount/radiator support, the ... well everything.

  29. Thanks for takin' time for us HAMB folks!! It's amazing (for lack of a better word) how many people don't want to show their work or progress until it's all done. Then, stand back and give vague answers on how they did something, like it's 'top secret' knowledge. Thanks for sharin' the work and bein' one o' the top hands to have some time for the regular shop workin' guys on here!! This is why I joined the HAMB..... SUPER work man!
