Picked up 2 hemis on Saturday. One is a pristine, fresh built 392 minus accessories. The other is a complete 354 minus carb mated to a 727. You could eat off of either one. The guy thought they were too heavy. Also picked up a '30 Tudor body. I didn't want to post because I keep thinking I might wake up and realized I was dreaming. If I was smarter I could figure out how to post pictures. Now I can look forward to someone trying to screw me out of one of them.

I replaced the rear wheel cylinders on my friend's '66 Mustang coupe while repeatedly reminding him of my standing offer to buy his car for $1000.

I'm old enough that I don't remember Saturday at all. But at 4 o'clock Sunday, I left for the Blue Comet. Drank a lot of Yeungling, Had Cheese fries. The Band was great, They were"Highway13". 150 miles in the T. used 7 gals of gas, not bad, great ride, good weather.

I knocked off ten Russians, and a couple of Middle Easterners, watched a teen give birth, Robert Mitchum outrun the ATF in a beautiful Crown Vic, drove a Ferrari into a wall at 180 mph, ate nothing, and threw up what little I had left...
So basically I was sick and had to play video games and watch movies all weekend.

You should be. I hope you have pix so you can show anyone who asks why. It's ALWAYS more interesting to show them then to tell them. I carry an 80 Gb Zune and STILL smile when I show off the burn out that I did last October. Run with it man!

All I managed to do was to install a new fuel pump, then relocate the gas tank to sit over the rear axle, run all new fuel lines (with a filter between the tank and pump like always!), remove some more unwanted "dead weight" then went to watch DIRTYT and his Bro-In-Law wrestle the motor and tranny back into a 63 Corvair!

It was an air-cooled weekend! :D

  15. I used the air duster to blow the sawdust out of my chainsaw, sharpened the blade on my weed trimmer ( made to cut blackberries not rocks ), and mowed the lawn. Today, it is work on my garage, I am building a 50x40 two story unit, and move some stuff around the yard. Now I'm depressed because I am playing on the computer when I should be working.
BTW, I love that Dodge project. One of my buddies did up a 54 conv in 1959. The body was left original, but he installed a bored and stroked T-120. It was pretty and fast.

Finished mowing the lawn I started Friday (seven acres), trimmed tree branches with my chainsaw and pickup as a ladder/wheelbarrow. Took a spirited ride on my ZRX1200 on the way to church this morning, and spent the afternoon working on my '65 stretched nose Dart funny car. Some wonderful shenanagans with the wife Saturday night, but I won't get into that here.

  18. That is what the Dodge guys called the industrial block flathead six. The two I saw, had what I was told were factory dual carbs and were supposed to have a tuffrided crank and other enhancements. Like I said, I don't know much about Chrysler products. Unfortunately, my friend passed 2 years ago, so I can't find out the particulars.

I put about 35-40 illegal miles on my T Bucket today. I just couldn't let the good weather be wasted. I REALLY hop my guy comes through with my title & tags this week.

I painted the back, lower part of my house. Clean up behind it to, then went to the Coit's cruise in. I showed up after the fun. When i go there my brother was looking a car in the middle of the street being pulled up onto a rollback. It seems the owner pulled out into the street to do a burnout with his blown, hemi T bucket with slicks when he snapped a axle off! I knew i should have went earlier!

I rebuilt 2 of the brake cylinders on my 49 Buick. Got a nice gash in my finger so I know the job will be a success. I'm surprised the car stopped at all since they were full of what looked like rusty mud. I had to soak the flare nuts in Kroil then use an electric paint stripper gun to heat up the fitting, then I still ripped up my finger. Also, what's the best way to take brake shoe springs off? I'm using a screw driver and a little hook tool. Any other good tips such as flushing the system and bleeding?? (brakes, not hands...) thanks
