  5. Well, I'm no artist so I had my buddy Ferby (also a HAMBer) paint up a sign that WhizzerRick did for me months ago. Huge props go out to Rick and Ferby for this.

First, the mock up in Photoshop by WhizzerRick. He also sent me the EPS that we used to make this happen.

Ferby took the EPS and transferred it to a large format printer. We measured the door and figured out how big to print out the EPS. The large format print was put on top of tracing paper, and the tracing paper was put on top of shelf paper. The shelf paper was stuck to the door to make a stencil. Ferby traced the large fomat print out on to the shelf paper and cut out a stencil. Black was painted onto the stencil and the white was done by hand. He had some issues with pulling the stencil off maybe a little too early. Some of the black pulled up, but he touched anything up by hand. Here's a step by step photo journey. I think it came out great.

A few people asked me why my car did not have any stripes if I was a pinstriper so after working on a few cars at the end of the day I put some lines on the back of my '36 with a few added by Safariknut! Thanks Ray

this my gas tank just finished for my yamaha chopper. i didnt lay the paint, but a real good friend of mine did it for me. the gold is some 1988 suzuki color, pearl white flames, and green tips. im real happy with it. the guy who did the tank for me is real talented when it comes to this stuff. i hope to have the bike done soon.

love the colour scheme cal. looks awesome.

i'm so jealous of all you guys.

oh, for the dude that asked? - stipping is getting your gear off, striping is laying lines.

with love, your resident pedantic grammaticist.

Man, your guys are off the wall this weekend. Great stuff!

Been doing some real work lately (which is good) Got 2 newer Desk Top Art Work cars done in the last few weeks, both were sold cars. Both are all steel construction.

I screwed up and posted the wrong pic the first time, so now you get the pic of car #43 before the pic of car #42. What can I say??? Oops.

This Weekly Art show some times prompts us to work a little harder to have something to post up. Friday was 90 degrees with 90% humidity. Instead of sitting back and just sweating, I actually worked hard to finish Desk Top Art Work # 43. This one isn't even due to be done for another couple months, but it was coming out so well I was extra motavated to finish it up.

Desk Top Art Work # 42. This all steel car measures just under 10" long, is about 3" wide and about 3" high.Gene
