Those look similar to what this old coupe's got on it...with chrome center caps. Hard to tell in this pic, but it's a pretty good look!
They must not have made many Radir Bullet Spokes. I never see them for sale used. Too bad they discontinued them. Regarding Keystone Cl***ics, I can think of a couple of reasons why they might not be liked but why do they get such ridicule here?

Beatnick posted the no hole Halibrands, with a polish, sheet aluminum plate over the extra holes and a little luck these '70's T-bird/Versaille wheel will be a reasonable facsimile. The Shannon cones may or not be used.
Top row: E-T III aluminum 16 by 10s, with Chevy pattern on the left and Unilug on the right. These are the original ones from the late-'60s, and are two-piece that have inside and outside halves. Middle row: Halibrand magnesium Sprint 15 by 8s and 16 by 13s, both 5 on 5 pattern Bottom row: Halibrand magnesium Sprint 15 by 4 1/2s, Chevy pattern on the left and early Ford on the right Here are Ron Blondel's superb magnesium Indy roadster wheels: http://www.roadsters.com/kittyhawk/ Here's a page about Real Wheels: http://www.roadsters.com/real/ I've written about cl***ic racing wheels here: http://www.roadsters.com/wheels/ Here's a page about some of my wheels: http://www.roadsters.com/mag/ Dave http://www.roadsters.com/
For all four, I'd have to saay Motor Wheel Fly, but I think the spindle mount Hal is still the best looking front wheel ever. Dave, have you thought of doing one with a recessed bolt flange and cover plate with cast grease cap?
14" General Jumbo's from back in the day. A close up taken from a 34 P/U at the Road agents in Conn. A very cool REVERSED General Jumbo. I bet you've never seen this before. This is sooooooo cool. The owner said his dad reversed them back in the 60's.
BOYD wheels when he was kinda cool early on he made 'cast alum' "vintage wheels" (or maybe they were called 'vintage 60s?) they are AWESOME wheels that look like ET III 's anybody have any? i do but i wanna buy more! i see they make cast aluminum American 200-S's again with the raw spokes. (the real looking ones.) like the originals.
I've got a bunch of different wheels that were all used at one time or another for lakes racing. I will take pics and post them later. Here of course is my favorite, the "Milk truck" wheel.
In the 1930s, if you wanted wide wheels for the back of your track roadster, you made them. A trip to the local Ford dealer could net you a pair of undrilled Kelsey-Hayes rims, which you could then weld to the outside of your wheels. As for what tires would have been used on them, the guy who recently found these wheels didn't know, and neither do I. Dave http://www.roadsters.com/
I forgot to add Grimlock's wheel cover's which I just put on the 32 I can't wait to see some of Bobby's (Them) wheels. I know he's a wheel ***** Clark
The wheel in my avitar is a nice vintage Halibrand, I wish I had a truck load of these because I could start an early retirement. I still don't know exactly when they were made, but my Unkle said he bought em used in 58 or 9.
No, it's not Magnesium or a Halibrand but it's still a pretty cool set of wheels with an interesting history. Apparently, these wheels were purchase sometime around '65 by this chick for her boyfriend's '55 chevy drag car that ran quite a bit up at the Ubly Dragstrip in the thumb of Michigan. The guy held on to them until the late 80's when they were put on a '70 Chevelle that was built for his daughter whom I went to school with. Well, she wasn't into cars so the guy sold the car to his teenage next-door neighbor whom I also went to school with. This dude was a real whang and had no real appreciation for the car nor any mechanical ability. I tried several times to buy them off of him for my own '55 that my dad and I were working on. We even offered to buy him a new set of Crager's (the kid was real cheesy) but he wouldn't bite. Finally, the ******* sold the Chevelle to another guy I knew. He drove the piss out of the car, blew the motor, parked it and got married and had a gaggle of kids. Years later in college, I noticed the car sitting outside and hit him up for the wheels. He knew how bad I wanted them so I paid more than I should have (I probably could have bought the whole car for a bit more). Anyway, I've only seen one other set around and they were on a Model A Sedan that was featured in Rod and Custom? I forget but I do know it was gold and had a headlight bucket for a carb scoop. Squablow posted a similar set but mine are all aluminum. Sorry for the long post, but I'm a newbie who's happier than **** that I have something to post. To bad it's probably way late to be relevant. As a FNG, please forgive me if my attachment doesn't work.
No P'Bean'r-I do not still have them now, they were a knockoff that were later drilled to lug style.....Halibrands I think
Cool thread...I've been trying to learn wheels........ here are some pics from the HAMB and the Bay.... i think some of the files are labled wrong...
