Thee Emperor's "NEW" car- "The Take Out T"- heading to the GNSR 2011

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Jan 18, 2011.

  1. My friend and fellow Emperor Russ (DoubleTtrouble) is in overdrive getting his T ready for the GNRS. This thing is amazing. The ammount of detail is insane from the plating to the stripping. This has been a club effort of sorts, Russ did all the paint work himself, Fellow club mate George did the interior, and my Dad and also fellow member did the 59AB flathead. Russ had had lots of help from a lot of Emperors wrenching, cleaning, and whatever large or small chore needs done to get this puppy ready. They fired it last night and it runs GREAT. Has a open driveline 39 tranny and a banjo with a quick change. The chrome and polishing really set it off against the purple paint and bright white interior

So heads up GNRS goers, this ol T is heading down, and will continue to do shows around the US the rest of the year. Look for it on a turn table near you.

Thanks to John and the amazing tallent of zach for the pics...

Way rad!!! Cool purple, white engine, panel striping, I love everything about it!

    ***EDITED TO ADD***
I looked again and just noticed the pedal covers and all the underdash stuff painted white. The whole interior is fresh and clean. This thing has killer small details out the rear!

May be the only T Hot Rod still using the original coil box. I see the real coil is well hidden, just were is that on the car? Good luck at the GNRS!

  26. Coolest thing about that- Russ is a regular guy with a regular job. He has a wife, kids and a morgage. He built this car on his budget in his own garage. And now he's going for this- something he has always wanted to do.
