Ok, so this isn't any kind of adventure post....just pictures. We didn't get into any trouble.....had a lot of fun though!

Left late on Friday.....got to the hotel at about 1:30 am. Word of advice, don't stay at the Rodeway Inn. Screwed me out of a room, had to crash on the floor of another guys room. Another in our group was without A/C. Lame.

Anyway....here we go! Some treasures at our hotel....I really don't know what to say.

Now that thats over....good stuff! Went around the corner for breakfast, in the parking lot...

    HUGE portions, good eatin'

    Waiting outside when we left

And at the show. Unfortunately, Mark's truck is the only one of our cars that made the trek. I was planning on it but chickened out at the last minute.

Jim Baker from Texas was nearby.

I've seen a lot of screwed up Mercs.....this is the worst one ever. The mural of a constipated Mike Ness on the door was icing on the cake.

I've been in love with this car since I was a kid. I know it's been through a lot in it's life, but it felt weird seeing it in person...I think I like it better in pictures or model form than I do up close. Still a great piece of history.

A week or two ago there was a thread on here about "ducktailed" quarter panels. This car definitely had the extra flare in them.

Two things to top it off....I give you Salina's most innovative treat. Chocolate covered bacon. I **** you not.

And, I have no clue why this was parked in the surrounding neighborhood and not at the show. The paint work was incredible!

    Thats it! Thanks for looking.

Yea, that is from a Denver area builder. I heard that he showed up at Viva this year and they wouldn't let him in. The motor is pretty cool, but the rest of the car.......:eek:

But he likes it, so I guess that is all that matters....

Colorado 51 your statement: "But he likes it, so I guess that is all that matters"....

THAT is not okay! Somebody has to step up when they see something like
that abortion being built and slap their stupid ***.

I agree, he definitely puts out a bad vibe for Denver...

That merc front end could have been put to much better use. Hell, it would have been better mounted on the wall of a garage than that pile of parts...

They always brag about how the build was completed in 52 days...my question is, was it a contest to see who could build the biggest embarr***ment to custom cars the fastest?

So is it not OK that the owner likes it or not OK that he used his 52 days building it.... Somebody should have stepped up and chained "children" named rick to the porch

I saw it in person at the show, not my taste, but then again I know when to STFU and walk on while some would rather stand around ******* on themselves

Everyones heard "opinions are like ***holes".... some opinions are just better at being ***holes than others
