This is the third time I have seen Hanna's car and I still see thing's on it that I missed before. Really like the new paint but would have liked to seen it with all the panels on it.
    Thanks for posting the pic's.

Actually, this was the original...after being "updated" numerous times through the '80's, it was in a fire that destroyed the interior. However the fire didn't destroy the whole car. It was going to be rebuilt again into more of a '90's style "street rod" until someone came to their senses and put it back to the original form.

But they didn't get everything quite right...the windshield is almost vertical, and is too narrow, I don't think the spotlight/headlights are the correct ones, they are in the wrong spot, and the whole nose itself is just flat out the wrong shape. They needed to have cut the inner curvature of the front fenders way back. They did manage to get the bars crooked like the original though. The air cleaners are wrong, the wheels are wrong, the spiders in the cowl are crooked...etc. I realize there wasn't much of the original car left to work with, but if you have to start from scratch then you might as well get it right, right?

I wish I had gotten a picture of it but there was a Merc with the roof cut off, no trunk, package tray, nothing just open from the front seats back. But it had complete sides.:(

I believe the trunk and package tray are in progress. Greg and I talked about that merc for awhile, the builder is making it a sliding ragtop ala vicky B400 series. The Merc M400? I went back and looked at it for awhile trying to picture it finished, still don't have it but if I squint real hard...

Hmmmmmm Scott, I'd heard that was going to finished as his Harley hauler...he was going to finish it to haul his bike around...strange, isn't it, how several different "stories" make it around the event...??? I don't know which is true now...

Unfortunately, Mark's truck is the only one of our cars that made the trek. I was planning on it but chickened out at the last minute.

I'm really glad to see your buddies Truck on here. Is it a 58 or 59? Anyway I have been building my 59 Chevy Long bed for almost a Year and a half now and I never have seen another long bed that has had the custom touch done to to it, I.E lowered, custom paint, chopped roof on and on. Really glad to see it once again. Usually its the short beds that get the treatment, glad I'm not the only Long Bed Apache owner out there. Anymore Pictures or Info would be appreciated.

My girls and I really enjoyed the show. One of you walked right by me with your THEM logo I didn't realize it was ya'll. I walked that entire show and did not recognize one person. So it was all new to me & made it very interesting.

A local told my wife about Conrado Heights Castle. We went out to see it was very cool place, it was on a hill...a must see.

I loved the stance and Skylark wires on it. I drive one of these (a '65) every day that isn't nearly as cool. We were sitting around at our pop up, and you drove by with a couple people sitting on your tailgate....I heard you say to them "I apologize for my exhaust being so quiet we can actually carry on a conversation" haha. Couldn't even hear it running!

It's a '59 I think. He actually built the truck for another guy, but then ended up with it in the end. No bags on it either....2" off the ground. It rode great on the way up too! Monte Carlo front clip. C-notch in the back with relocated springs.

p***ing around stories just like a bunch of damn women

Yours sounds more plausible, since the area where the rear pkg tray was pretty well body finished. I can wait until next year.

i wish they were skylarks! it's funny though, the different personalities of tru-spokes you get with different caps.

yeah, the exhaust was really bothering me. i had it done a couple of days before the trip. it was supposed to rap good, they did what i asked for, 2" pipe to 12" gl***packs mounted backwards, then 1 3/4 back from there, but it ended up being way too quiet. it really is quite embarr***ing.

totally agree, wonder if they rushed the build to make a show?...with the caliber of the builder I would have liked/expected to see it done right...at least it has the top back on it!
I can even tell from some of the pics that it is a bit off in spots..(of course the model and the old car craft is all I have ever seen of it)
    thanks for all the pics.

Give it time... It'll loosen up as the packing in the gl*** packs burns in...

It's a cool truck... The wires make it.
