The first pic will be of the Phaeton as it was when I bought it. The next one was taken today. 27 months of hard labor!
View attachment 5616963 View attachment 5616959 Here is my '62 Nova...interior and engine bay as I bought it.... 9 months later after giving it the love and attention it deserved. Love finding them this way, knowing what they can turn into.
This was very rusty. . . . . it only took 19 years to get it running. Everyone who saw it said "you'll never be able to fix that" I cannot describe the feeling I got when I drove it the first time.
The first photo is after I corrected some issues, not quite as found. Second was taken shortly before selling and after buying the Model A.
I can now weld air. The frame was a little better than the body but not a lot. It was a 1950 built hot rod.
Possibly an Aussie Phaeton with wood framed doors, etc. A lot of Aussie phaetons and roadsters got shipped to the US in the 60's and 70's
Car was from South Africa. These and the USA bodies are considerably different that Aussie ones. Usa cars had the wood frame doors. Matter of fact, the left front door on this car came off the previous owners USA roadster. He also has an original paint '34 Phaeton that i have spent time studying.
