You ever have a "The One That Got Away Car ? Mine was this '46 panel it was always sitting as a billboard and a shed for a restaurant here on the Cape . I've driven by it a million times and almost bought it but he wanted 18k for it and it needed a bunch of work .So a couple weeks ago I called the restraunt and asked about it on their answering machine. About a half hour later I got a call from the owner. We talked a little about it ,and he said I wished you called me a month ago, two older gentleman from down Cape stopped in asked about it and he sold it to them for a dollar! Damn ! It was a original flathead V8 too, but he said they were restoring it so good for them Screenshot_20240308-090118~2.png

  6. 53 Ford Victoria. White with red scallops. Red and white tuck and roll. Full list of cliche custom touches like chrome reverse and lakes pipes. But was a real deal early sixties rod. In fact pretty sure tags expired in 63 or 64. Also had a stroked multi carb flathead that ran(with a rod knock). Needed restored but was solid and complete and you could tell it was all originally high quality work. Could have gotten it with title and a stock rebuilt flathead with it for $300 in 1997....
