  1. I've heard of a weld shop foreman build a T bucket in our shop and he would do all his welding in the weld booths..., then roll it into the paint booth and shoot it, and then roll it into a remote corner of the shop for the night.

One day he noticed his car was gone..., he looked everywhere in and around the shop and couldn't find it!!!!

And in a panic he called the police to report it "Stolen"! [IMG]

When the police arrived, they were asking him questions to describe the vehicle and if it were registered and licensed!

He told them he was still building the car and that there wasn't any paperwork to support it as being a complete car.

The cops just told him that he needed a list of parts and that they can't report it as a stolen car..., but as stolen car parts! [IMG]

After the Police left..., a forklift driver arrived late to work from the Dentist office and was wondering what all of the commotion was about..., and somebody told him about the Stolen car and the police...! [IMG]

The guy got a strange look on his face and told the other guy that he was playing a joke on the foreman and placed his car on the top of a storage rack (25 feet high) with a fork lift!!! [IMG]

Needless to say the forklift guy was fired..., the foreman couldn't work on his car in the shop..., and all other Government jobs (private projects) had to be taken out of the shop!!!!! [IMG]

That place became very "empty" and not a very joyouse place to work after that happened! [IMG]

    How would you have handled this situation if you were;
The foreman...? The forklift driver...? The shop owner...? [IMG]

Maybe it's the best thing for you to be out of that situation! But I also empathise with you..., because when I lived in CA the basturds would bitch if I parked an unlicensed car in the Garage!!! [IMG]

Just find a shop you can rent in an industrial area with a couple of "BUDDIES" and buid your projects around the clock!

Good Luck...!!! (p.s. the shop isn't an automotive place!!)

    [/ QUOTE ] Good theory.
Around here, alot of places say "no automotive uses" as part of the lease. [IMG]
    Between rent,taxes,maintainace,insurance,heat,and electricity,your looking at $1000 a month minimum.

All the cool artist Lofts, and live/work spaces, are being converted into Condo Lofts,
    and sold to Yuppie Scum.

And I'm not waiting on my deadbeat "friends" to pay their fucking rent.
