Went on a little few day vacation to visit the snowbird in-laws down in Mesa Az. Living in a cold climate you rarely see an old hotrod in the winter. Down there they are everywhere and there’s a carshow in parking lots in just about every suburb. This was just a few. View attachment 4593266
One of the pluses in living in a area were we don't see a lot of bitterly cold and snow, thanks for taking the time to share. HRP
Looking at the pics sort of takes the chill out of these old bones . Gives me hope the car season is getting close. Appreciate your efforts here .
Only good thing about the cold here is it gives you time to work on the car without feeling you are missing on driving it.
One was at an old Bashasa parking lot in Mesa and one was at a shopping center/Mc Donald’s parking lot in Scottsdale.
We also went up to the little town of Superior az. Took a picture of Main Street, if the new car wasn’t in it you would have thought it was the 1940/50s.(somebody photo shop it)
I did also. Although I thought it would have looked really kool with the windshield pillars cut off and some roadster windshield Stantons used.
From what I gather summer in Arizona is building season because it’s to damn hot out to have any fun. So in the winter it’s cool enough to get out. Thanks for the photos!

Hello, Nice story about the Arizona folks... and the car shows. Your photo of Superior looks pretty nice. I edited it to give it a better composition and keep the boo birds away. (and to get rid of the giant dinosaur trying to attack the town... ha!) Jnaki Currently, we on the coast are having a few days of rain, a few days of sun and back to rain. It is all headed East to Arizona and the Southwest.
Waaaaaaay too hot for me during anything but winter in Mesa. I want a little snow on the ground during the peak of winter......looking towards the hills in AZ for me.
...They are everywhere...They are indeed but some are Hotrod Snowbirds...thanks for sharing those...and there is a hidden Jewell in those Shark Nosed Deco Machines you just have to play with them a little...
