Find a '32 in the weeds. Haul it home. Take inventory. Decide to make quick $$$ if possible rather than launching into a LONG and EXPENSIVE build. I would have done the same thing. For TurdyTwo's sake, I hope it brings 12K!!! ... & I hope the new owner posts build pics here on the HAMB. JH
Lost track of this thread, just read thru the responces. Intentions are just that intentions! His car, his too decide, his wallet. "Fab32" I couldn't have said it better myself.
I know I am just an FNG but I would have done the same. You will never know how much what you have is really worth till you toss it up on the bay. Plus if I found a 32 (if that could happen in Germany) I would sell it too, just to get the funds to put towards another Hot Rod. Times are tuff just saying
Great find and at least it's going to someone who's stoked rather than rotting into the ground. Now I just hope the new owner doesn't do it up with splash graphics and a van interior...
I just saw a note that he lowered the reserve when I was in my watch list and like Harrison mentioned the reserve is met now. Currently at $8950 with about 3 and a half days to go.
Gtreat find you lucky-duck!!! personally, if i found it i think it would be so stoked the thing would stay with me for life just like the rest of my completed projects. That is my dream car right there and damn it kills me just to see the pictures...unfortunately none of them are affordable anymore so it will stay a dream...probably forever . I'm upset to see it go but at the same time i hope it goes to someone who has respect for it and does right by it. Got any history on it?? Looks like someone's old rod.
Wow, I just found this post and hesitated responding, BUT FUCK IT. I own it now. I met the reserve. Its definitely worth saving. New subrails and floor and it will be a good body. I've removed the body from the frame, but quit for now to finish two other projects. I will build it as a early very traditional hotrod with a flathead. No regrets with Turdytoo.
Good for you T&A!! That's the right attitude to have...keep this hobby going and enjoy every minute! Oh, and dont forget to keep up posted with progress pictures. Paul
