Hot Rods They ARE still out there! 30' A coupe

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dynaflash_8, Jul 28, 2011.

  1. I'm going to sneak into your barn and chop the top off and get rid of the fenders when you are sleeping. :D;)

  2. Not too bad for a punk kid...

Looks like a sweetie. Treat her nice.

Always cracks me up when people respond with " what a great score" " wish that would happen to me" without even knowing what somebody paid for a project. I can open Hemmings and buy almost any conceivable car with a phone call. Doesn't mean it's a great score.
Of course it doesn't mean the opposite, either.

Anyway, congrats on a nice project!

I hope the first thing you fix is the 28/29 headlight bar on a 30/31 ford. They just don't look right, and its a sure sign of a parts mix gone bad. Very nice car and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. IcemanIceman

That's a beauty! I love the rods but there's something great to be said about keeping it original!

Hey Matt, I'm with you. We'll have to bring the hacksaws, don't want to wake him with any air tools...

Great coupe! I am glad you are not chopping and removing the fenders - of course I am just a little biased...

Amazing what some whitewalls and black steelies can do to transform a stocker. I remember seeing oodles of A-bones similar to the one above back in the '50s. It don't get much better. Nice find on the ONE you bought. DD

"Just picked this one up today! Needs a good mechanical" call Rob put him to work :D that will give him a break from working on that 47 Buick

  20. Whew... talk about "luck of the Irish." She's beautiful just the way she is... but I wouldn't hate you if you tuned her up a little (just hide it all under the sheetmetal).

you should put a dropped axle and some black steelies or 34' wire with WWW on it. and find sum speed parts for the banger. Speedway also sells a rear lowered spring.

  23. How did I miss this? I have a nice 30/31 headlight bar if you need it...
