Now there's an export we can be proud of. ha...

 

We're all in the nostalgia business. We are attempting to create, re-create or maintain our memories of some past 'golden time'. Things were simpler,better.................whatever then. Relax, your memories just got a new lease of life.

 

Ah, it comes up again. I wish they could all stay here, in hopes of maybe getting one or two of them back someday. But, if I can't get what i want here, and someone over there will pay me my "doh rey me", it's on a boat. Enjoy it guys. I know, if I lived somewhere where these treasures didn't grow on trees, I'd love the opportunity to import something from the states.

 

It feels kinda bad to see em' go but cash is and always will be king. Especially in an economy like this where lots of folks are hurting. Stuff like cars, boats & guitars are the first to go when there are bills to pay. From my point of view, if a car is in california I'll never see it in person anyway. If I'm only lookin' at pictures of em' on a computer screen it don't make much difference if the image is beamed from Oslo, Tokyo, Berlin or Los Angeles. I enjoy them all the same.

 

tell you what car guys in other countrys in my opinion are way more hard core than anyone in the US it is def. a life style for them ....i know a few kiwi's ,english , and japanese , they pic one or two car events and make a vacation out of it .... i dont know many other people willing to drop 4 grand, 10+ hours on a plane just to go to hotrod reunion or mooneyes x-mas , yet these people do it all the time ....

chances are they are finally getting the cars they have wanted for years because their dollar is so good compared to ours ..... they are just getting while the getting is good , my guess where the euro is to the dollar from 8 years ago the cars are almost half price for them , plus a better quality machine too,...good stuff is finally becoming available
