Milwaukee Tools has an app like that allows you to track your tools. Problem is you have to remember where your phone is and then when you find your phone then you you have find the app, hell nothing is easy anymore

This is the one Milwaukee tool, that is very hard to loose, it has a motion sensor on it, that lights up, to show you where you left it!

Am I the only one that comes out of a large spectator event with huge parking lots, some with a few or no reference numbers/letters and can't find my ride without walking that Xtra mile ? The panic button on the key fob works when you get close, thinking I need to take a helium filled balloon to attach to my Suv. This dilemma seems to be just another fun part of my senior life, for the most part I have gotten over the angry part of aging/health issues and try to see the humor in it. "It Is What It Is " I have stated before, Of all the things I have lost with time, I miss my mind the most. LOL

  6. YES!!!!! I was going to mention that. I NEVER remember to zip up when I get dressed.

I walked around the wallyworld parking lot for a half an hour the other day hunting for my DD.....
    too many silver Dodge Caravans....
I finally gave up and was going to hit the panic button locator.... reached in my pocket to find my wifes car keys....
That's right...I drove her car as she had me parked in at home.....
    Mr Dumas strikes again....

Mind still seems ok, but my back, knees, and hands suffer from arthritis. The ex's were the first thing to go though, thank the good lord!

  9. Large spectator events with huge parling lots? Heck, I can't find my car in a Walmart parking lot.

You fellas that live in the south probably run around in the state of unzipped longer than us northerners do, gets downright drafty on a Wisconsin January day, and I don’t even want to think about being unzipped on a WiNDY Wyoming January day brrrrrrr

I think the shrink factor in Wisconsin is probably higher because of the humidity there. Although there is something to be said about being out in a Wyoming wind blowing at 40 + miles per hour with the temp hovering at 25 to 30 below zero, its an instant reminder of what I forgot to do.

The worst part is I don’t even care anymore when I walk out unzipped. Nothing to see anymore anyway.

You got a point there, Im thinking to hell with people after some of the things I see. If they dont like it they can look the other way. Oh by the way I looked down and nothing.

Buttons are cool but what happens when you got to go real bad, takes a lot longer with buttons than a zipper. Besides Id rather come out of the head with my pants unzipped than covering myself with a bunch of them toilet seat sanitary protectors. Or what do you say to a 9 year old boy that catches you standing on the trash can in front of the electric hand drier with the front of your pants all wet?

I have two shops. I go from one to the other to get something. When I get there, I'll be damned if I can remember what I came for. It usually comes to me when I get back to the first shop... :)

I was really wondering about my declining memory. I've got car bits stashed all over the garage and a bunch of sheds. "Finding" long lost things left and right lately. I've long blamed it on all the concussions I suffered over the years. One hum dinger into the tire wall turn 8 at Laguna Seca, another boxing, another hitting the floor in basketball, one in a bike crash - too many to list.
Then I was watching a young YouTuber - he's in his 20's and he's a damn engineer. Smart, young. He said on camera that he was going to start up and run an old Ferd truck he has after a couple year sleep. During the vidya, he "found" a Fairlane hood he thinks has been missing for over a year (it was in the bed of the truck.)
Damn, if a smart youngster can do this kinda stupidity, we need to give ourselves a break.

    Hello,

When we were driving around in our 327 powered 40 Ford Sedan Delivery, it was our friends that always chuckled and said… “What? you’ve lost your mind?” They saw us as being way out there and not in the same 4 door Chevy family sedan era. We were only in our 20s, just married and for several years, struggling with what we wanted to do with our lives. But, throw in a Corvair that needed to be gone to a 327 powered Ford Sedan Delivery project, was a last straw for our friends to say we actually lost our minds.

Now, it looked fine on the outside, but as far as running well, it was a different ball game. It was ok driving home after purchasing, just because of the thrill of a “new-old” hot rod and the feel it gives being behind the wheel going down the Coast Highway. After inspection, we knew it was going to take a long time and lots of work to get it to safe driving condition and ride as well as most factory cars.

It was something different than what most of our friends were doing at the time. We lived in a tiny one bedroom apartment that was just large enough for a the two of us and a small doggy. Most of our friends lived in a large house of large apartment complex. Drove two GM factory cars as daily drivers and were off to the races of their future lives. We were just enjoying being with each other and the solitude the ocean gave us in those hectic times of 1965-70.

So, it wasn’t “have you lost your mind,” mode for us. It was fun and a new way to have adventures for our daily lives. Short road trips led to longer road trips that led to week long vacations when our money was saved up to pay for the relaxing destinations.

As I look back, now, it was in 1967 that started the long trek that I still have the after effects over the 57 years since the injury happened. Up until that time, I was fairly active, a sporty guy that loved sports and played all of the most fun ones at the time. Two on two or three on three basketball being one of the favorites… But, the need to revert back to sandlot football with all that was involved in the gritty action was the trail that led me to rugby and its fun activity.

A full year of games weekly and one final injury to the torn cartilage of my left knee slowed me down over the years. Reinjuring it during basketball games, one on one challenges and surfing, yes surfing made me have to wear a brace while doing the activity. Over time, the knee support was necessary under my wetsuit for daily to weekly surf sessions. The cold water made it feel good, but it was still in need of some support while spending time on those head high waves weekly.

So, over the year of activities for growing into retirement, the shaky knee gave me troubles in everything from walking around the harbor to backyard garden landscaping. Reinjuring the knee from various activities always made me slow down and now, a slight step in the wrong direction starts the swelling again. No, the orthopedic surgeon said I do not need surgery as nothing is torn.

But, the knee is tender daily and is the actual “first to go” in the long line of old age and activity. Ha! The mind is always sharp and the writing/researching/reading keeps that portion healthy and on the ball. YRMV…

I had buddies who were rugby "players" although they seemed to be more focused on the after match beer bashes. What's the old saying? I once went to a drunkfest and a rugby match broke out...

And they all have several post-rugby injury issues. Broken jaws, multiple knee injuries/surgeries, concussions...
