Now that's my kind of roadtrip.
I don't know why, but sometimes I enjoy seeing rusted cars in the woods more than a restored one on the street (or on the trailer).
Thanks for posting, looks like a fun time.

Cool! Now that's what I call a bone yard. Where in the hell is this place?

The Packard convertible is the prize among that batch of cars. I don't know if the big pallet or whatever that is on it's roof is helping much but that would be a great car if restored.

Thanks for posting - I love that Hudson, and that Packard would be amazing fixed up.

As far as seeing cars rusting in peace like this... I like it too and tend to tip-toe and breathe a little quieter, kind of like when I'm strolling through a graveyard. It's a weird respect thing I guess.

Awsome, thanks for posting. I especially like seeing OLD old stuff (like the C-cab) in the wild.

  14. Now thats my kind of road trip! I took one last year to Nebraska to load up a 27 Dodge Bro's 5 window and the guy had a similar set up, but not near as vast as this. I would love to just walk the hallowed grounds for fun!

....where did you say this place was agian?....

Definitely agree with this phrase. Also just to have your imagination going of what you could do with it if they were in your garage.

Thanks for the pics, please post more.

Where are they? Is the C cab for sale?

That 52 Studebaker hardtop is pretty rare.

Man, that 58 Buick looks like a little air in the tires and a jump start would be all it needed to drive out of there.

Yeah, they can be bought, but right now, if I told ya where they were at, I'd have to kill ya' (LOL). The reason for the For Sale and Sold markings is that this guy bought a lot at farm auctions.

    A PARTING SHOT. . .

Hey, does anyone from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota remember Headid Park in Sioux City. . .scrapped out in the late '70s/early '80s by a company from Omaha who won the bid on 3,000 pre-'60 vehicles. Word I got at the time was that the place had been abandoned since the '60s and became city property for back taxes. They took bids and contracted the salvage guy to bring in a portable crusher. We talked to that guy while he was crushin' stuff and it would have made ya sick to see some of the NICE stuff that they crushed!!
