Picked up an early flathead intake that I hadn't seen before, a Thickstun that was not the common PM-7 or the pre-war hi-rise. Only numbers looks like a serial E2233. Even though the studs are short, would not lbe surprised to find that risers were once available. This Baby's got to be old, looking so primative. It does however have heat. Any information? Thanks: Fred A

  2. Fred those early intakes normally got risers added for generator clearance.

Can't tell you much more than that about your intake.

I had one recently. They pop up from time to time.

    I had a low rise PM7 on my 1934 221... Performed awesome!

That low rise Thickstun on swenson's picture site is not a PM-7 but the same as the one I just picked up. Says it's pre-war. I only guess it to be old with its 45 degree rochochet ports. Still may use the early slingshot first. Thanks All: Fred A

Is the Thickstun logo along the back intake runner? If so, this is the pre-war version, with the abrupt intake port runner angles.

See TRJ #8 for the Thickstun story.

I used one for awhile. Great intakes. What do you want to do with it? If you use an early generator it will cleat the carbs.
