Well that's what several of us are thinking but so far nothing points to that direction but you just never know.To take all the shit they took was a little over the top even for a sorry ass thief.

Your comment caught my eye, because I've met a couple of people during my lifetime who would prefer to swindle you out of $10,000 than recieve it from you as a gift. It's like these guys adhere to some demented "survival of the fittest" mentality, where they justify their actions on the premise that it's your own fault that they stole from you, because you weren't as smart as them.

I've also observed that these types never seem to get over it either, whether they steal race engines or work at a bank, it's just a way of life to them.

Keep an eye on Grudgeracer.com too. Lot's of racing stuff in their classifieds.
Most likely South of the border though.

They have found this to be a highly effective theft deterent in Saudi Arabia. First time: right hand, second time: left hand. Not too many third timers, but there are a few people who picked up the nickname "Lefty".... ;)

  7. I hate to hear that. I had a bunch of stuff stolen out of a container that was sitting in LaGrange after I shut my shop down in Houston. I can put the word out in the Bryan/Colelge Station area.

    Damn!

Didn't even use a hatchet to be quick... just sawin' away... yeesh.

I can't believe people still steal over there if they know this is what happens if you get caught. Pretty damn stupid!

That's the kind of thing that gets a thread closed.

RayWith - Hope you recover your stuff or catch the thief's in the near future. I think the less said of where your looking for your things is best. Not all thief's are dumb and may be reading this thread. By saying too much your educating the thief's and we don't need that. Some travel in small groups taken in events and following possible pray checking out their habits and then they hit you. Guys on site will keep an eye out for you and good luck.

Let's not get into the aspects of Sharia law. Over there, people steel because they truly have no other recourse to eat. Here, people just steel for money or drugs. Hope the cops find these pricks. Or if they come back, you find them and introduce them to Mr. Ruger and Mssrs. Smith & Wesson.

I would imagine that with all the items they took it's going to be hard to unload it all without someone taking notice. If that happens they will possible have the formal introductions to your above friends. Its a good thought any way.

There's two ways to go: 1) Buy a bunch of insurance, 2) Build security around your operation.

Case 2: Nobody needs to know how it works, or where all the alarm triggers are, except you and the company that installs and maintains it.

Case 2: A drive-by security cop is less expensive than a reward, and rewards almost never work.

Case 1: The insurance company may drop you after the first hit. So prepare for case 2.

If you don't do either case, then just suck it up, or sleep with your stuff.

Yea, I have a special column for that in my home budget, it's called "education expenses." That's why handshake deals went out with the Romans. All contract now, on paper, and everything else is called a donation. Humans suck.
