I'm glad I don't care about any of it.

I just like cars & motorcycles.

I could care less what the sheep are bleating about. The flock will eventually move on, but for now let them play the cool hot rodder / biker if it gives them comfort.

I try not to worry about things I have no control over, and things that don't concern me.

The older you get the more you analyze the past, question the future and look for the "good old days". Go easy on Fat Hack until you are where he has been because you will appreciate it someday. I don't think of it as negativity, its more like reality. The best you can do is to do your own thing and enjoy your rides and thrill of going down that deserted road with wind in your face and the sound of your motor in your ears. Thats what its all about.

I think this is something a lot of people are trying to figure out. Where the hell has he BEEN and what EXACTLY is he talking about. It seems by his posts he was there when every significant event in hot rodding took place and saw the event from the minds eye of everyone else who was there. After having this vision he proceeds to evaluate the situation from some lofty vantage point followed by chiseling the correct moral and social view on stone tablets to be delivered from on high so the unwashed masses can devour it and rest in the knowledge that the "wise one" has spoken.
It's a special gift and an awsome responsibility. Myself I rest in the knowledge that he probably does know that front brakes are a useless waste of time and proved it by stating that the brakes were the one of the best things he liked about his Riddler contender. Foose and the rest better enjoy their time in the limelight 'cause if Hack ever decides to "get in the game" it's all over for those wannabes.

You got to work in a garage...Dammit you're less hardcore than me!
If you don't watch the T.V. and ignore all the bullshit in magazines you'll see there's still true hot rodders.
Sure the prices have gone up on parts but so has my income, and gas prices, rent, electrical bill, well everything really...that's the economy we live in today. Last car I bought for under a grand I had to pull the heads off to have them machined, then rebuild th carb...the interior will wait for now. Oh and befor I did any of that I had to scoop off about a foot of snow and continually brush it off, 'cause well I'm building my car in my apartment parking lot...Plenty of wind to waft away the smell of hard work and taco bell!
Sometimes true freinds call you out...if they didn't it's time to look elsewere.

 

Sure Greg doesn't work on stuff as much as he could, or should; and sure he doesn't have a job, and sure I'm still waiting on some carburetors from him (since spring time!); Sure he bitches and moans more than I might like to hear, but so do half of the people on this board;

Y'know, Hack made some good points in his original post. I didn't agree w/ it 100 percent, but overall I saw what he was saying. It was well-written & pretty clear.

Now then, why the Hell does this have to become a bitch-fest? Hack doesn't get along w/ HRLC & Fab32 & Tman &........ we get it. Its so fucking obvious. Seems like every post made by Hack lately comes under fire from this same group.

I really don't give a shit, I doubt most of us do, & don't see why this is still going on. I get a PM from Ryan a couple weeks back for "having words" w/ another member in the open forums & told how I was wasting his bandwidth. But Hack, HRLC, Fab32?
