well I got my donor engine and transmission out today for the 49 I'm gonna clean it up after I get it set in so I can measure up my mounts and stuff, I only got use of a guys welder for the weekend, my welder still has to be wired into some hydro
I already tore out the windshield and put it in my blue truck plus swapped the grill out while it was ****py yesterday, that old donor truck is already coming in handy for more than the 49 ford!

Glad to see you diving in and doing it. I envy your progress, friend....hope it comes along smoothly and quickly for you.
progress is good. if you don't have a use for those shock mounts and stearing collumn I know someone who does, ME! Paul

[/ QUOTE ] my goal is to get it rolling under its own steam ASAP then I'll start messing with the brakes (i'd like to set up the master cylinder and stuff from the donor truck if I can) and wiring, after that I can see the body taking a good few years to do, interior will be plain old steel Paul, I am gonna be using the shock mounts and stock steering but I'll have a look at the parts truck in a few days and let you know if its got shock mounts,
