Hey! Its my coupe! Rolled it out today so it can go to my buddy's shop. We're going to check out the block and if all is well there, we're changing headlights and stands to the Guides I bought. Check out the new headers and the lightening holes!
Last but not least, my SUPER KART! Half PACKARD!! Half CUSHMAN!!! 5 HP Briggs and Stratton with a centrifical clutch + DUAL exhaust!
HaHaHaHaHa...the SUPER CART is too much...I love it!!! (But only FIVE horses??? Tell me that's just the shakedown motor...right???
Maybe you and 'hack can race, his girls schwinn of death and your pack-man, I mean push-ard, I mean.. aww shucks. Jay
The Horsepower-To-Weight ratio is all in MY favor... I got THREE horsepower on a ride that even MY crippled *** can lift... He's got a tank with only FIVE horsepower... ...It'd be an easy kill for Da Blue *****!!! Pinks???
Add another 185 lbs of my fat *** and you have a negative power to weight ratio..I think I'll p*** on the racing.. I could always add pedals to the chopper.... Spike
I'm digging the coupe, I still loved the slots though, bring back the slots. Your cart is just plain ugly, in a cute and loveable way though. Kinda like Gary Coleman and it's the same color as him too.
Ha Ha Ha... Nads, you're killin' me! Hey man..its part Packard..doesn't that count for anything? Maybe a shot of those '54 clipper lights out back will help..?
Heres the back. Isn't that a waste? A rather nice set of '54 Clipper tail lights on a Krappy little Kart..?
Spike, I lurv that thing. Folks give big money for those fender sections, but you you should get a prize for using them on a trike. I'm getting some ideas man.
I dig the slots, too...always thought those wheels were groovy! Cool pic of the Starsky & Hutch Coupe!!!
Those tail lights are getting big bucks. At Hershey this past year, I saw a pair for 500 bucks! Thats more than I paid for the entire Kart! Just for the record, I didn't build it. Bought it at a swap meet. I then promptly broke a tail light and went on a two year quest to find a new one. I had no idea how much they were fetching at the time. The cheapest I found were 150 bucks. Just for the lens! Then Clark took us to a junk yard out near York and thats where I found these for 20 bucks each! Can't belive they were still on the car. Totally un-touched! Spike
[ QUOTE ] Those tail lights are getting big bucks. [/ QUOTE ] That's what I was gonna say... I saw a pair of '55 Packard taillights go for $800.00 Cool cart. Oh... and the coupe ain't bad, either... JOE
I agree about the abuse of the taillights and fender section... Though, there is no reason for paying $800. The lens is being reproduced (about $150 for each lens) and the tail light housings are not that expensive. Got my pair for $30.
