Here are a few pics of cars and stuff I seen while on my drive to SC. Later,Bill 27 Model T converted into a tractor in VA. Old boy told me Sears and Montgomery Ward sold these conversions. Very cool! 58 Firetruck just outside Charleston, SC at a scrap dealer I think the same guy owned the next few cars. They were all in the same general area. 41-42 at a Flea Market in VA. What are those wheels? This 49 was the only one with a price. 40K orig miles, in a barn since 72. $7995! Battery not included. Said so right on the sign. He owned these next 3 too. No parts! Whole cars only. After the price on the 49, I didn't ask. not sure what this was. ? This was behind the railroad roundhouse in Savannah,GA. The roundhouse museum is a must see.
sounds like you had a nice vacaion. I wish I could sell cars at that price. I probaly couldn't get $799 for it
i had one of those tractor converions, except mine was a 29 model a. last i hear it was at the fonda fairgrounds, fonda ny.
Are those wheels on that 42 the high clearance ones?? They are also dished a lot to the inside. Maybe for a rail buggy??
Those wheels are straight off a military M151A-1..a ford-made jeep. Used in the late 60s through the 80s.
That is what TV does to the masses. That old fellow was planning to retire with his horde. I like that 57-58? ford (Ranchero?)
