History Things that worked, until someone in modern times decided they don't. Photo tread

according to the web this car has at least 2 maybe 3 things that won't work. Think about it you can figure it out.

The duvall is acceptable though.

 

A stock small journal sbc rod in a race engine.
Two of the last three blower motors ( including my blown six ) ran them.
I’ve have read countless articles from days gone by of blown racing engines with stock bottom end other than cam and pistons and amazingly they lived.
I think I read one time that GM had about 55$ in each early sbc. And the fact that they lived and made good power was a happy accident.

 

Like my brother in law who knows zero about cars and took a graveyard job at a gas station while in JC. Guy comes in and wants Tom to top off his brake master cylinder. Next day Tom asks me, "Is automatic transmission fluid correct for brake fluid?"

 

At what? A dollar a pound????.....
