Man! You guys in KC know how to make a person feel welcome. We ate at Gates and it was really good, Made it to Union Station and Science City, Legends (T-Rex for the kids) ad the Plaza (5yr old daughter loved the "Cinderella" lighted coach ride), and tomorrow is Oceans o Fun/Worlds o Fun. Friday is Harley Factory and Art Museum. Wow! I need another week to touch everything. Thanks again, Robert
Grab a Sat. morning edition of the KC Star, the Auto Section has a Fun on Wheels spread of most of the shows and cruises going on that day!
Yeah - in history books they'd always have pictures of Buddha statues, and paintings of multi-armed goddesses, etc and I remember looking down at the tiny print underneath the caption, and it would always say "Courtesy of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art". I remember thinking, "Hey! That's here in town!" No wonder - they have one of the world's largest Asian art collections outside of Asia! No shit! If'n ya go, head a few blocks closer to the Plaza and eat at Winstead's - a 50's burger and malt shop that's been there since about forever! ~Jason

I can't believe no one mentioned Winstead's earlier....by all means go to Winstead's, the best 50's style cheesburger anywhere.
I was just there two nights ago. Jack Stack Bar BQ on the Plaza was excellent; Plus the world famous Plaza Christmas lights are going now.
