THIS IS THE MOST EXSPENSIVE ROD "PARTS" IVE COME ACROSS IN A LONG TIME AND THE RESERVE ISNT MEET !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KINMONT-BRAKES-FLATHEAD-FORD-32-HOT-ROD-RACE-CAR-INDY_W0QQitemZ4584833160QQcategoryZ34199QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Yes, it is Dick Spadaro I don't blame him.......someone will step up and own them.......just not me..
they are really kick ass looking. 6 grand is alot of money but im sure that whatever car will have those on it will also have alot more rare and pricey speed parts.
Yepper gots me a set of em on and old bonne car i bought about 30yrs ago..........along with a potvin blown cad motor .............and I aint sellin em .....but glad to see what they are up to now days
What's up with all of the Epay 32' Ford Links lately? Just wondering. Who freaking cares, maybe I was watching those and now over 8000 people just looked at something that I was going to bid on at the last minute. Ebay makes me laugh for what people pay for stuff........and I make pretty freaking good coin off Epay buyers wanting rusted parts. Sorry for the rant, but who gives an "F" about look at how high this. Chris Nelson Kansas
I'm glad people post ebay links, I get to see and learn things that I might never get to...... yes, it is getting a bit crazy.........YES, I KNOW, SUPPLY AND DEMAND for you arm-chair economists!
If I could afford the I would own them in a second!!! And they'd go on my Buick! very rare I'm sure.....
It just takes two guys to deside what the sell for, and it doesn't matter to me what they sell for, I don't think I'll find a set in my lifetime. Good to know a set has survived, rare piece of hot rod history there.
Might just pick those up out of petty cash in case I ever decide to build a KINMONT BRAKES FLATHEAD FORD 32 HOT ROD RACE CAR INDY
No one ever said Dick Spadaro had cheap parts. But , that what he does...he goes all over and finds this stuff and eventually finds someone to buy it. The fact that he already has a bid of 6 grand is proof of that. Economics 101.
Let me see if I've been keeping track here... In the last couple of weeks I've seen Threads bitching about Scot Blowers, '32Fords, WWII Fighters, Kinmont Brakes, and a new Thread about Gas pirices at least every 3 days or so. What a waste of space...
i'm sure they will go for over $10,000.... not really worth it because they are not very good brakes , but that's what they go for
Why does that even matter? They are what they are... I had the chance to check out a set at a swapmeet, and they are really neat. ( the way they are put together, and how all the linkages work ) The fact that I cant afford them doesn't mean I cant see how cool they are. I had a set of Front disc brakes off a late '50s/early '60s F1 porsche. They were mine. They were promised to me by a guy that owed me money. And somehow I got screwed out of them anyway. I have a reason to flinch over the prices those are worth, but I still think they are cool Brakes. ( And they didnt work very well either...)
oh , yeah...i agree.. they are very COOL brakes..i'd like to have a set too..to hang on the wall i know two guys who have them on cars , paid a lot for them , they look great....and they complain they aren't worth a shit for stopping
