Heres a couple when I first got the car together in 08, I had TTOs for awhile then switched to steeles. I really like the ET cast 5 spokes, but I have really been leaning towards 16 inch gennies with 550 and 750 beige like the top and script Mercury hubcaps.

Thanks for all the suggestion and comments

With that engine I'd go with mags like Americans or chrome Milner steelies on pinner whites.... or Halibrands.

Depending on what period you trying to recreate, styles changed a lot over the years back then. For what it's worth, here's a pic of the hot setup in 1958/ 1960 time frame. Fifteen inch '48 Merc rims painted body color, 6.20 15's in front, 8.20 15's in the rear with '50 Ford beauty rings and Bell Auto "baldy" hubcaps. Wide whites shown here were on the way out and were gone by '65/'67. Full fenders makes a difference but as I remember, even highboys were running this combination, usually in blackwalls back then.

Here is that wheel/tire combination. 16" gennie wheels with 7.50X16 and 5.50X16 Firestones

60's wheels to go w the 60's motor.

  6. For me it would be 16 inch bent spoke Kelsey's on the front and for the rear widened 16 inch Kelsey's or Cadillac wires from the early fifties.
