Prior to seeing that clip, I had no idea what seltzer was. I've scene it all the time in black and white movies, but thought it was something much different that carbonated water.
Pure awsome! My grand parents were of the generation that insisted on Seltzer instead of Club Soda and always had a bottle in the house. As a kid I drank it over ice and loved it. The first alcholic drink I have had was a Scotch and Seltzer... 'course I was only about twelve or so! (minor detail to grandpa! The one family tradition to this day is still ****tail hour, at my urging.) These days I have a couple of cool old bottles, but nobody to fill them.
I drink the flavored seltzer out of the plastic bottle, but would love to get a source for the old-school stuff. 60 lbs, baby!!! cool video .
What an eye-opener. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's another one of those lost arts that we should embrace and respect. HC.
Had no idea what Seltzer was until I watched that. Its cool how alot of stuff used to get delivered like that, milk, seltzer....and when you went to the gas station you got full service.
No direct relation at all. Only that of, If, anyone as been following along with some of Ryan's post's of dying art's and or businesses with moving footage, you would understand the ***le to this thread.
That was so cool to see... a lost art, a piece of history, like old cars... it brings back fond memories!
