1. I use to have dozens more pictures of this car in all of its different phases.. I'll try to find them for you. Let me put it this way.... when you see what he started with you would never think it was the same car. Your car is looking great as well. I'm quite jealous!:):)

7. Well, tonight was all about good progress
I was able to strip the Model A Roadster donor car down to a point that I could slide the front and rear end under the T.
Its got that Multi look!

Wow, I can't believe you had the heart to tear down that donor car. It looked really nice. Regardless, I love your T build looks like it'll be a really fun car!

10. Thanks!
The donor car wasnt mine! HA!
But the owner wants a sb & 4 speed and dropped axle and solids on the A and retain the paint and original stuff so it will still look ok

Woha. I had no idea this was going on. The original mock up has been a great inspiration to me, I'm so glad to see this project going together. The world needs more Multy Aldrich-style Ts.

14. Thanks guys
I am so happy with how it is turning out

Bottom screen will get about a 2 inch chop to match the upper screen

I will post pics with the car in dry lakes style with the screen removed

Liking it a lot!!!!

22. Here it is... a direct airloom from Multi's place.

I was lucky enough to obtain this while out in Ca. Had no idea that I was going to own it, just fell into my lap being a fan of good ole Roy "Multi" Aldrich. This will go on my T even though my car is not a true copy, just an obivious influence. Figured you would dig!

Keep up the great work Greg!

23. HOLY SHIT! THATS AWESOME - what a score!

This is the history of my body:
The body came from Squeak Bell and he was told that the body had origins of being driven by Larry Shinoda at the dry lakes and a little bit of early LA circle track. The body was then restored to original T configuration and then in the sixties or early seventies, the T body was replaced with a coupe body.

I believe that it could be the car owned by Don Zabel and Bruce Robinson that was driven by Larry under the Trompers Car Club. Pic on page 52 of Don Montgomery's Hot Rods As They Were and then again on pages 142 & 156.

Obviously it would be hard to prove and Squeak is trying to confirm what he has been told and trace things from there. If it is somehow proved that it is the car, I would like to recreate or rebuild to that configuration and return it to the USA - its home.

24. Wow! That would be quite a pedigrie. That's awesome.

25. I was just looking at the pic on page 156 of Hot Rods as they Were, it looks like there was an internal frame welded to the inside of the body. If cut out for a restoration there should be evidence that something was welded there. Distorsion (heat or grinding marks) would still be there or filler - bog or lead would probably be covering it up on the outside. Unless the body was blasted there should be paint evidence underneath the old layers. Numbers & sign writing tend to show up. My 27 T body has no paint left on it but the original signwriting & telephone number can still be seen clearly.

I hope that it does have some history, but you've also got to think that the old T race car bodies had a hard life & back in the 70's the cost of 'restoring' a body would have far outweighed the cost of finding a replacement. Good luck & I hope that this car stays in the southern hemisphere, or if it goes back to the states that you are able to go with it. Don't let this one slip out of your hands

26. Thanks mate I will keep searching and seeing what I can find.

27. Even if it doesn't have a pedigree, you are giving it one by building it on the H.A.M.B. Looking good Greg!

28. Exactly!

What respect you have for our hobby, to put your car 1st before yourself for the sake of history. Whatever happends, it's in great hands... and you are doing a fine job. All that matters... in da end!

It's funny, my car sits in sunny Ca. as well. Reading your posts, and you terrorizing me with photos to my email really makes it hard not to send for it. I'm flying back soon to fix it, but I really just wanna see my friends out in Burbank... I'm a little torn at moment. I have plans to live in Ca. now in the winters, so I'm wondering if I wanna leave my T or not. Really wanna build a 29 roadster so I can terroize the street over there. Something a little easier to drive, less pedals... Like to bring the T home for awhile... it would be nice here on the county roads or down by the beach. Really wanna get it here to help influence the scene. We need more old time hot rods... it would be like a living history lesson for all of us. John Saltzbaugh did a fine job.

If anyone knows John, I'd love to talk with him. Pm me please!

Keep it up Greg, killer work man...

30. Progress is slow as I have had the cold this week = so hopefully by the weekend?????
