Of course,it got painted red and looks like shit now...

  4. '41's are one of my favorite's. It would also look cool with a chop like Chad S's '47 coupe.

  5. Here's another BADASS one,but I think it's a Merc.

Ahh, the real deal, Im so tired of seeing that "blue thing"!

Heres a pic of the side of the car (from Rikster's site). See how unbalanced that chop is? It really throws off the rear fenders, and makes the rear end look way too bulky. A well thought out custom is about keeping a proper balance, that car really lacks balance. Making the rear window flat may eliminate the "crease" some of these get when they are chopped, but it doesn't create flow either.

I like it, looks better than the stock top hat wearer's roof line.

  10. Yea,it's pretty extreme,and I wouldn't have chopped it that much,or with that "slope",but I still would take it! I actually like 41's with a Carson top.

and the crazy thing is so many people seem to drool over it. Well, you know what they say about opinions.

Heres a pic of mine when it came back from being chopped (almost 3 years ago now!)

And a rear 1/4 shot from about 6-8 months ago (no more drip rails!)

You dont have to convince me! After I finish the 47 (I need maybe another year before its 100% done, interior and all), My plans are to build a carson topped 41. Sam Barris gold, Hollywood flipper caps, 41 stude taillights, ford crestliner steering wheel. The picture has been growing in my mind for a while now. I REALLY want a well done carson topped car.

  15. We have the same tastes!!! That sounds fantastic...Hope to see it some day.

Thanks, I hope to see it someday soon as well. For now I'll have to just refer to that picture in my head.

  18. I do like the blue 41! But I would cut the top off and make a Carson top, same as Chad said.
Do you just look for something to argue about?

Well, I just got my car on the road last weekend, so I'm posting it everywhere cuz I'm all excited.....I started off wanting to clone that blue one....but then I thought it was just a little too hammered....and then I looked at it and thought if the "B" pillar was slanted, the quarter window might have a nicer shape to it.....I also wanted to retain the gutters cuz I found without them I was always staring at the door gap.... so anyways, here's mine....[IMG]....and and more....[IMG]....and one more....[IMG].....I knew what I wanted, but I don't have the skills to do it, so thanks to Laurie and Geoff Peterson of Canada Customs and Hot Rods for the chop....

.....Thank you....I'm using a Nova clip BUT, I wouldn't recommend it....it was a nightmare !....It's way to wide and had to be narrowed which turned out to be a pretty big deal, but it's all sorted out now.....If I had to do it again, it would be a dropped axle or Mustang 2 ....
