This block sealer works: Irontite

I have a 60 year old Flathead, and recently it developed a case of water in the oil. Yech.

I'm going to replace the old engine soon, but wanted it to run as long as possible until that time, so after posting to the HAMB and looking on the net I decided on Iron***e:

I followed the directions, actually ran the stuff for 5 days instead of 2 or 3, and there is no more water in my oil.

Now, I don't know if it was a bad gasket or an actual crack, but I don't care since this motor is being replaced, and will probably be rebuilt in the future. The point is, this stuff actually worked.

Hey George,

I forgot to post where I got it, sorry. Kragen, Shucks, etc. won't have it. They carry K&W, which also seems to work well based on net searches I did, but Iron***e just seemed better based on a couple hours of poking around.

I got mine from Lee's in Alameda, CA. I would recommend Iron***e's radiator flush too. You have to remove almost all traces of coolant before using the block sealer.

Most use cases I saw were people who just wanted to stop the leaking until they got a proper fix, like me.

You might remember that ugly AMC Eagle? Well, I think Chrysler bought out AMC for the Jeep and ended up with the Eagle name, so they made another brand out of it, Eagle Talon was probably the most popular car that came out of it.
Well, the Eagle Vision was the Eagle equivalent of a Dodge Intrepid.
