    No bad. I started this thread kinda tongue in cheek on a rainy California day. Actually got some good ideas had some fun and heard a good motorcycle story. Got a P.M. from a guy back east that remembers my roadster from the last Andy's picnic in the '90s. Thanks guys

    I have blown up a yz 125 or two in my short racing carrer and one of them was due to a torn air filter. I will never run an engine without a filter.

    I know street isn't quite the same but you could get some big open cell filter foam and set a pice on top of your screen. foam filter oil, clean with kerosene when dirty.

    "Filter skin" or something like that is sold for most dirtbikes but like already said just go with ***** hose.

    Any color you want to hide or accent, not restrictive, good with bel-ray foam filter oil. This would be the outer layer on a bike filter.

    I think Socks and Martin did it back in the '60s. :rolleyes:
