Me and katie plan to come to heavy rebel. Doesn't look like I'll get to finish up the roof though, it's already flaked, but now it needs MORE flake so it goes with the rest of the car, hahahaha......As long as it gets finished in time and theres no mechanical difficulties we should be there at least for the car show on saturday. I need to check out the website.

Ken shoot me a pm, you can cry to me about all the apparent hardships your facing, haha. Plus I wanna talk to ya about HRW.

Time to get back to sanding.....

ALright, I've been at the shop sanding since 10pm LAST night.....getting the car cleaned back up and taped off now to get ready for the last gallon of clear. I'm feel like stepped on dog shit. If it's sunny tomorrow I'll try to pull it out in the sun and snap a couple of pics before the colorsanding starts.....

Yeah, i was wondering how it was gonna look in the shade and on overcast days, I'm pretty pleased with it. Looks nice and subtle in the shade, then the lights hits it and BOOM!:D

    Stunning, I love it.

Say Switchblade have you tried StikIt pads to do your color sanding? I did on mine, way less work than a block and sandpaper. You use it with a DA, start with 1000, go to 1200 then 1500. Expensive for sure but it'll save you from the aches and pains.

I was going to suggest the same thing. It works great especially on the flatter surfaces. No need for anything other than 1000, though. Dry 1000 is like wet 1200 or 1500. It'll buff out fantasticly.
    Car looks great! ;)

I'm using the 1500 hookit paper wet, no one around here stock any of the grits between 400 and 1500. I can't wait on them to order it for me so I'll use what I have available. Got one fender and about half the hood sanded out last night.

  17. That flake is "Wood-ee licious"

It looks like the flake is floating around in the clear...even dry.

    Nice work.....

As for the DA...do you DA at a low speed? I would be afraid to burn through pretty quick.

I've used it on 4-5 cars and havent cut through yet (knock on wood), I don't really run it low, but not fast either. I cange the speed depending on what are I'm working on, a ltitle faster on flatter horizontal surfaces, and slower on cuvry vertical surfaces. I've had really good luck with it over the couple of years. Sure beats doing all of it by hand....
