lol...i seen those covers too i was watching them in my e-gay. as of now im planning on rebuilding them new seals,etc-- i like the covers but i think im going to shave the fork ears so i can run a bottom mount small headlight and keep using the the gaiters(this may be easier said than done...it always is). I also want to cut the springs 2 inches and powdercoat the ears, trees and sliders. Im thinking of making the bottom mount so the headlight sits just a little lower than any aftermarket mount that ive seen. What kinda front and rear lighting setup are you goin' to use? Check this picture out I like this setup.
    Also a bad*** bike.

Another concern of mine is shortening the front end and the gaiters looking all bunched up and out of place. I think they look killer though. I dont know if this guy shaved the ears on his. I did see some on ebay that were for desert racing that were similar. I want to try to make them though

  3. Sam was exactly right. If some big daddy from the 60's would have build it most of you moaners would give a good *** licking.
    Shame on you.
That bike is totally not my style, but it get's all my respect for good, clean craftmanship and innovation.

    AAAAAAHGH! You ignorant *******s...

The guy is from Finland. I think his name is Janne Pihlas and the bike won 1st place in the non Harley chopper cl*** at Norrtälje Custom Bike Show last summer.

I now I'm biased but Sweden has the best built, gorgeous choppers in the world and Custom Bike show in Norrtälje is THE show to win. The tasteless **** that is built in American Chopper and shown in Easy Rider would't even qualify here, because chrome and money can never replace taste.

Even if I think the swedish choppers are the most good looking in the world, the finnish ones are often something else.

Never as good is style or execution but always a step wilder and new ideas.
This guy has been something totally out of the ordinary thinking box, it's like a 60's acid trip on wheel. The technical solutions are mindblowing. It doesn't even have a wire for the throttle, it has mechanical push rod linkage, and it works.

Beatiful no, but you can stare at this thing for hours and still find new things.

go to http://www.twinclubmc.a.se/custom/cbs2004/2004vinnare.htm and see what he was up against.

Now I feel a little better...

Bent front end bikes aside, you guys have to check this link. There are a couple of very cool bikes on there and a WICKED sidehack that I'd give my eye teeth for.

Does anyone remember the name of those sidecars? I can't recall it right now.

  7. Hey...

Is the show worth a 1000 mile trip... I'm located in teh Netherlands and might have plans to go to this years show...

How big is it (how many visitors/bikes/riders)..? Is it only one day..?

    Thanks,

    Maurice

  9. The side car maker is DUNA from Czechoslovakia. They where made from the late 50's to mid 60's and came with the 350cc Jawa twin and the 500cc Jawa ohc.
I see them here at the swaps once in a while. The side car wheel is also a cool fake knock off.

This thread pretty much ****s. You may not like it but the fact is that with this two-wheeled advocat of kustom kulture has been won several (I counted 5 but not sure) trophys since its depute. It has been featured at least two magazines in Finland and also in Primer Magazine's Yearbook 2004. This bike might be weird but something never seen before but definitily it is cool and handmade by owner, not ruined!
