I just noticed this today. Whats the engine in this coupe? Maybe its the blue color, but something about the heads and valve covers on this engine is making me think that its not the Small Block Chevy that Street Rodder claims. Is it a Pontiac? Early Olds? -Dave
Fuel pumps on the wrong side for a SBC. I'm Guessin B-O-P of some sort, but a little later engine for sure (late 60's, early 70's?).
It's a Poncho...probably post '64...the fuel pump, head slope down to the spark plug from the valve covers...any photos that show the siamese center exhaust ports? It could be anything from a 301, 326, 350, 389, 400 or a 455...sneaky little buggers us Pontiac guys are, we use the same block for all of em
One more vote for Pontiac. If it's an origional 389 tri-power it's probably worth it's weight in gold. Frank
That's 'cause we know you guys must be embarassed when you lose to a baby blue "girly" motor...man, that must be rough on the ego...hahaha...
Deuce 3-window with a tripower Pontiac is darned close to my dad's dream car. Thanks for reinforcing my thoughts, nice to know I can spot my overheads. -Dave
