We had a local car show here today, I got tied up this morning and couldn't make it before registration closed. When I went by about 45 minutes later, I think there was about 10 cars there, an pretty much no spectators. I didn't stop, I had about another hour of running I had to do, and I was already cold. The high temp in the upper 40s with a 25 mph wind didn't help.
This was one of the last shows for the year here.

What are the odds of two post-war Lincolns at a small town show like that?

Damn-near Mayberry right there. Looks like a very good laid-back peaceful time. Appreciate the flags flying. :D .

  7. Thanks for the pics Anthony. Liked the MB roadster. Most here wouldn't have shot it cuz it's 'furrin'.

I was surprised myself! Especially two coupes the same year model. The other one was on marketplace recently, the guy had just purchased it. It’s way ot for here, ifs front end, DOHC 4.6 Mark 7 motor. It’s nice, I hope to get my body and paint that nice one day, but still keep the old car feel mine has.

Nice survivor truck. Paint appeared to be original
Radiator was the only out of place piece. Sorry for the crappy pic.

  14. I used to work on stuff like that.
One of the first restos I worked on was a 190 SL.
I was probably 19 at the time

Do you have any more pics/info of the black ford in this photo? Is/was there a continental on it?
    Thanks.

  18. No.
And it didn’t have a continental kit that I remember seeing.

Nice pics! 2 Studebakers even. Loved the yellowish/white Galaxie. Can't quite tell the color. Almost bought a carbon copy of that one. Just missed it. Thought the gold 47 Lincoln looked familiar.

Thanks, what I can see it looks identical to one that was built here. His wife sold it after he passed.

    Yep, you gotta love Jasper.

I kid you not, Goober (George Lindsey) is from Jasper Alabama.
Gomer is from Sylacauga AL about 80 miles to the Southeast.
Mr. Haney (Green Acres) came from Addison AL about 40 miles north.

Nice cars and thanks for posting. Gadsden used (or may still do as I don't live over that way anymore for a while) to have "First Fridays" which attracted a lot of cars. A lot of nice cars over there in 'Bama!
