Hello all, I'm Vince. From UK but currently living and working in mainland Europe.

I've Been into the rod and custom thing for many years and owned a few scruffy scrott-weasels (rat-rod wasnt a term then!), several cl***ic 'sleepers' (I like to buy from the cl***ic brigade who sit behind their cars on pinic chairs and stick larger motors in their pride and joy), self built a 32 3 window, had two damn great 50's yanks (one clissic and one kustom), many 50's and 60's cl***ics and over a dozen old VW money-pits! Drag raced a 52 splitwindow Bug too.

The current garage houses just a matt black 59 low-light karmann ghia- bog stock but lowered - with a disc brake kit, 1600 motor and BRM wheels ready to fit and a matt black 27T roadster with a 7 inch screen and three foot shifter- very cool but very cold at the moment


I have a tendancy to impulse buy - even to the point of buying a mildliy customised 1952 Standard Vanguard once that I really didnt like but I had just spent three hours on trains gettin to view it only to be met by this horrid car obviously a couple of years on from the photo used in it's Custom Car advert... but I couldnt face the return journey so I gave him the 1600 quid and drove it home! The wife was not impressed.

I dont smoke and I'm tea-total (literally about 15 -20 cups of it per day), have been since i p***ed my driving test at 19 (17 years ago). Why waste money on ale and cigs when you can be buying petrol and cars? beats me.

I am not all that bothered about my carbon footprint and I eat do-gooding eco-mentalists for breakfast.

I still wear my Hotrod Gazette tee with pride... 'Sod the trees build a byp***'

My most annoying habit - apart from slowing down to gawp when overtaking a hottie driving a kool car - would probably be pointing and laughing at the Chav cars (import racers you call them) with big rear bolted on spoilers that like book shelves etc. But then again they laugh at me when i drive past in my cartoon car. Fairs fair I guess.
