bronx - great stuff dude, good to see such a rare collection. and considering many members (inc me) are sitting here on the other side of the world with not enough candy like that lying on our doorsteps, i really appreciate the thread.

dirt - technically, youre right, and you know that, and we all know that. tact, now theres a word for the day. respect, theres another. and old saying is 'if you dont like the show, change the channel'. its all to easy really. but if its your vibe to rip other people out because they stray a little o/t, then youve accomplished your goal in spades. my hat goes off to you for wearing your heart on your sleeve. pity that you actually felt tough enough to tell people to fuck themselves, incredible how much power your finger muscles possess when sitting at the computer huh?

again, youre right re the rules, and you have a right to express your opinion, but to actually abuse people in writing is downright cowardly. and no, you shouldnt have been called dick either, that was wrong and i respect why you reacted.

and at the end of it all, does anyone who has posted on this thread in a 'personal' nature, actually feel any better or vindicated? not really aye? and why? cos its all just immature and pointless, thats why. but hey, its been said, so what.

i dig the versatility that site like this can offer up, i think we all do really. and before i get ripped out for being one of those 'fucking newbies', just have a look how long ive been on this forum first. and just cos i dont post often, doesnt mean im not worthy of stating my opinion.

now seriously, lets all get back out in the shed and actually build shit rather than wank on about it.

  3. Great stuff, looks like a Dodge/Plymouth muscle guy. The Javlin (nice car) looks a bit out of place With a collection like that it's nice that he acknowledges Ford, Camaro and a few more in the nooks and crannies of the warehouse.

  5. Is it just me or are there a few guys here who don't know enough about historic collections to understand what has been posted?

If there are "exceptions to the rule" how could ANYBODY not love to see some SJ memorabilia?

Relax on the jealousy, take a look at the pics and enjoy. It's AWESOME stuff. O/T but tremendously interesting for alot of "traditional" people.

    Thanks for the pics Bronxmopars1...

  6. Simply amazing. I'm not a Mopar fan in the least, but that doesn't make your friend's collection any less significant to me or anybody else with half a brain. I sincerely hope that it ends up in a museum in its entirety some day to be preserved so people can see what it was like when cars with personality were still sold, before people only cared about things like cupholders, navigation systems, and rims.

  7. Hey dirt, 3/4 of the "Drag Cars in Motion" thread are post '65 cars. You might have seen this thread as its the most viewed thread on this site. Are you going to get on your high horse and bash that one? Well are you? Oh, thanks for posting the Firebird photo. When ever I see one of those I think of Sally Fields....

Hey, Bronx thanks for posting these. I've had the pleasure to see lots of this stuff in unrestored condition at Ken Heckert's shop. I hope Steve is doing ok.

Narrow minded people are bad for the car hobby.... Just my opinion.....

Nice to see that many of us understand where tradition actually took us. How the OEMs used some of our icons to style and design their latest offerings and concepts. Most automotive history is absolutely traditional. I guess I'm glad I don't get knocked for posting Packard 12s and Dueseys. They aren't really board specific either but they did inspire.

    Amazing collection. Thanks.
