i found one of my old projects on craigslist , its actualy the one that pushed my wife over the edge . she told me just go and buy you a running driving car. and then she found my 55 on craigslist and told me to go buy it. i bought this as a whole truck in realy bad shape . and wound up parting it out . the green door i bought for it was perfect before it got cut.

:D, same thing happened here, after working on a few projects and selling them, my wife said the same thing. Now I have the 56 Town Sedan and love driving it and is a keeper.

My wife keeps asking why I need so many engines when I only have 3 cars ! I have around 12+ engines in my garage at one time and only 2 cars at that time but bought another car since then .
Well I am down to 4 engines right now and still 3 cars ! It's just a sickness that can't be cured at all . Doesn't matter if you have any money or not but as long as you have parts to trade with , you can get another engine or car !
I just hate to turn down a really great deal on an engine when they come around .
She's still holding on fairly well and told me , you know , if you sold all this stuff you have , I bet you could get a really nice car that you wouldn't have to fix up ! I said you are probably right but then what would I have to do then ? I love working and fixing old cars so if I buy one that's fine and needs no work , then what am I suppose to do all day long ? Then I said , well I could buy another car to tinker with then , right ?
Well that didn't really go over like I would have liked it to go so I guess I will keep on building what I have the way I want it to be !

Man my wife has been on my tail lately to. She just said this week, I am OVER that ^&$^ car of yours. Funny thing is my car has been at the shop for a month, but I been cleaning and organizing my workshop and talking about some additions to it to have more room to work while its gone and she said.... everything revolves around that dam car....

I said OK, from now on we will just start taking all 3 of our other vehicles to the mechanic when they need the oil changed, brakes done, tires fixed, backup sensors replaced, window motors replaced, sending units replaced, radiator flushed, shocks changed etc etc etc... I reminded her the shop is for working on them all, not just the 56. She changed her tune a tad :)

I was very lucky in that respect . My wife got tired of me working in the driveway playing against the weather on what I could or couldn't do that day on the car . So she had a 2 car pole barn garage built for me to work in . Sure made it nice when it rains or you get 1/2 way through a project and don't have to clean up everything or cover it up !
Yes my wife is very good to me when it comes to the cars and the garage . All she really wants is a space to park her car when the weather is going to get bad so she doesn't have to clean it up to go to work .
I can live with that one request , no problem !
