Hot Rods This just in-(also photoshop please)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Apr 21, 2015.

  1. Drop the front, which is already way lower than the rear? What picture are you looking at?

  2. You guys are hilarious!! I want to lower the rear a mere inch or so, change the color of the wheels and you all act as if I rattle canned the fucking thing pink. Are you that bored? LMAO

  3. Man, you've got some nice rides there Groucho!

    Here's some choices:
    Tan wheels:

    Gold(ish):

I'm calling this "taupe" (my favourite) as I thought it would go swell with the interior:

and green (just to make the taupe look better!

I want a '40 Ford coupe, I don't care what color the wheels are!

What the wheels need to punctuate the expanse of color is simply 2 radial pinstripes in cream like '48 Ford wheel. Done.

I like the tan and the taupe!

  7. Looks just right the way it came! JMO

  8. Those look great. I think the taupe with maybe a thin body color stripe. The stance is great as it's still a hair higher in the back without the stink bug stance is has now. Thanks much, good job.

First picture, as also the ones in post 33. Obviously you have different tastes to me. From pics it looks that running boards are closer to ground at rear of car, anyway, our opinions are not what you asked for, so please accept my apologies. Yes, I am bored, had a small op yesterday so stuck in bed with my ankle in the air, would rather be working. Wasn't going to comment, but really like your new car just as it is.

  10. I see now what you're saying on #33, but you seem to have the same view on the 1st pic as well (my initial post?)? They're 2 completely different stances. So I'm more confused now. No need to apologize, a lot of silly shit's been posted by others. You'd think I torched the fenders off the damn car. haha

Was actually referring to post one. I didn't realize that post 33 was lowered. I like them all high at the back and low at the front. So if you lower the rear, I would lower the front even more. It is the rake that I like. But thats just me. See there I go giving my opinion again....... I'll shut up now....

  13. I lowered the back 2". The rake's more subtle and less stink bug looking. I think these cars are too big and bulky looking to sit as high as it was and still look good. To me this car doesn't look lowered, it just looks like it should. I'm gonna try some different wheel covers this morning DSC08629.JPG

Here's what that would look like.......with the addition of rear skirts, of course;)

Do that and you may as well get a pink feather boa to wear while you drive it around. [IMG]

  25. I'm thinking of painting the wheels the gold from the dash/steering wheel (or a full wheel cover of some kind). It looks too plain on the outside for me. Too much red DSC08659.JPG

Picking up the dash/steering wheel color would look great IMHO, your car is a beauty and my second favorite color. Nice find.
