Big bright taillights don't compensate for idiots. Yesterday about Noon in Vegas, a woman ran smack into the back of the 61 T bird Full Custom that is on my Icon.
Son in Law was stopped at a red light with my daughter in front of him in her 53 Chevy and the 3 year old son in the back seat in child seat. says she heard the impact.
impact car was a Toyota Rental car, car was stolen, Police arrested her and took her off to jail. cannot compensate for idiocy
Tbird has subframe damage, rear deck behind the seats cracked. Bumper is pushed far enough in that he cannot get to the Gas fill neck.
But they are still going to Winfields show on the 15th. put a bandage on it and get going.

Bright tail lights may not prevent stupidity, but they can't hurt. Wanna risk it? Be my guest.

Glad to see the body held up really well. I drive a chopped, lowered '30 Ford pickup and I always remembered what my high school driver-ed instructor told us. As long as you are moving forward, YOU control the traffic flow behind you, blinker on 300 ft before the turn, slow traffic down behind you and look in your mirror at the drivers eyes. If you feel confident he sees your intentions concentrate on your turn. Leave room to speed up if needed and above all, avoid stopping to make turns, plan ahead to cross lanes quicky and ALWAYS leave the guy behind you plenty of room to pass you. Dont be the guy that swings wide left to make a right turn. Drive your hotrod like a motorcycle and be VERY defensive at all times! Be safe my friends!!!

glad both are OK too bad about the car looks like it was sharp. distracted driving is rampant , but that is not new. about 20 years ago I was driving to work and was passing by a slower car that was in the right lane, as I passed- I looked over and saw a guy driving with the news paper draped over the steering wheel, holding a bowl in one hand and spoon in the other! I had to back off and do a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
