i understand what everyone is saying... thanx. i'm just a little disappointed because i wanted to build one using a 59 or 60 impala and now its be seen or done at least twice (who knows how many more this guy will crank out or how many will be built by the guys who don't win the high bid)
where as plowboy and others like him haven't used THAT PARTICULAR car to do what they do. i understand there are thousands of 32 roadsters out there and that doesn't stop people from building them. i think this may be a little different. i'm not trying to whine, if i came off that way i apologize. maybe i need to look for a different car to chop up, i have a feeling by the time i get done w/ mine Evans Seinfeld's will be featured in ol skool rodz. ha ha lol. thanx to all for the explicit use of the F word to encourage me. just kidding

If you study the design of the Lunar Lander and this particular car, it's easy to see which one was built with thought and care to the final product and which one was thrown together.

I have actually had the opportunity to buy several 60 and 59 impalas but I have p***ed on them all.

Ray Fahrner used 60 Impala on the "Eclipse" in the 60's. Anthony from the Shifters used 59 Impala on his bubbletop a few years ago.....

Is that guy on e-bay actually selling them or is he repainting them to make it look like it? They look "off" to me. No matter what, it is a ton of work to slice up late model sheetmetal and make it something else.....I applaud any one who does it and can finish a car.

There are plenty of other brands out there to use...I have some donors located (I was eyeballing those comet bodies myself) and some others stashed out in my shed, after building the Sea Hag, I don't know how many more of these clown cars I feel like doing though....That thing went together so nice and easy it made me wonder why I put myself through the punishment! Ha Ha Ha

If I could find a couple of nice coupe bodies I could relax and build a car in no time! Ha Ha Ha

Your forgetting one of the basic rules of physics : "When you drive one, everyone has one! "

You can make anything you like, and only you will feel like they're everywhere.
Do you have any idea of the sheer m***es of 1950 Suburbans I see a month out on the road? I guarantee you I'm the only one who sees them 'cuz we have one.

Build it your way, keep us in on the progress!

don't be discouraged just because someone else is building something similar, yes I said similar to your idea. It won't be the same and yours could and probably will be better because you are building it for yourself not just to make a buck.

I am collecting parts to build a '27 T coupe with a V8 flathead even though I am sure thousands of them have been built before. I like to think mine will look just a little better than most but it might not and the only person I have to please is me.

As for old Chevies look a little harder and talk to local people. I go to church with a guy who has 4 - 1958 chevies in his back yard (convert(348), hardtop, and 2 posts) and I didn't even know he liked old cars. He has had them for 15 - 20 years and recently decided he might get rid of them. I am talking very seriously with him about them. He just retired from GM and his wife is ill so he thinks he wants to travel instead of working on cars.

    Be patient and keep looking!

Rosie O'donnel looks kinda like Selma Hayek from 50 feet away. The key is what she looks like face to face. Builders like Aaron make 'em look good up close and personal. As for the Lander, someone else can pilot her.
