They have all the fun! Maybe this was inspired by our own 3W Guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSLa08J6rv4 Enjoy
Boy when I was showing the 57 in 84 I heard that song so many times I got sick of it. Nice to hear it again .
I remember winning $10 off an idiot who SWORE that car was a deuce! Non gearheads loved that car and didn't have a clue. Kinda like now a days.
Pitman That video brought back memories of when I was young and dumb and full of it. That's right...when I was a high-sculero. Now I'm just full of sh!t. Thanks for posting something from my long lost memory lane. RGV
yes, it has been a while seen I have seen that too. was that Paris Hilton's mother in the striped dress. kind of looks like her and some pretty bad lip syncing too. not my taste in cars, but can respect it for what it was (is) - sound effect in the beginning are nice and I didn't remember that part.
For a teenage gearhead back then, that video was heaven. Thanks, Billy and guys, I know you will see this............
Nice, I remember having my pic taken sitting in the 'Eliminator' at the Victorian Hotrod Show during setup one year when I was about 15(?) damn it, no keyring though.
There was nothing traditional about that car. It was and is pure street rod as it was designed and built. Like it or not.
It may look a bit dated these days, but when the car appeared out of the heat haze all the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. Good memories!
Urban legend one of the Eliminators was found in Japan, in a basement under a bar? car had been stolen on tour.
Damn!!! Loved the music!! Loved the car!! Loved the beards!!! And the girls aren't too shabby either!!!
1. Pre WWII Ford body. 2. Updated powertrain. 3. Updated suspension. 4. Improved interior. 5. Better wheels and tires than origonal. 6. Chopped top. 7. Non origonal (superior) fit and finish All of the above ARE "traditional". "Street Rod"- A hot rod whos primary function is aimed at street usage. The term was coined to try and desguise the "old time" misconceptions associated with auto enthusiasts whos primary activities centered around outlaw, rule breaking hoodlums, that proliforated the movies of the late 40's/50's. According to Robert Peterson, founder of Hot Rod Magazine a "hot rod" is an automobile that has been improved in apppearance and performance to suit the owners tastes. So, I guess that the ZZ Top car is definitly NOT a hot rod. Thanks for pointing that out as almost everyone I've encounteerd since it was built considered it to be one. Being clueless is a terrible cross to bear. Frank
