41 Willy's f/g body on a Toyota pickup chassis. Don't let the jackasses on the site worry you.

Thanks, but this is my friend Jims project......we think alike when it comes to low buck builds, and he is really the builder in this case. I am the helper this time. ....and proud to be a part of his project. Maybe some day i will post some of his other work......incredible stuff.....huge projects I would have never started, but he did...and finished em.

Man, this thread has it all. How the hell did I miss it? Traditional theories and ideals shot to hell. Haters. Frame swapping. Chopping and sawing......DAMN!

Picture at the top of the page looks sweet. There's a guy in our car club that has a '36 Chevy coupe on a '78 Monte Carlo frame. If he hadn't told me, I would have never guessed. I personally don't agree with it, but why should my opinion have any cred with someone else's project?

2014. The year of just stepping back and looking. If I shake my head, it's mine to shake. Way back, when I was younger, I had a cherry '66 Mustang coupe. The value of Mustangs had just started to rise. Well, one day when I was bored, I decided to drill a couple holes in the hood for hood pins. Man, my old man came out yelling and calling me stupid. But a little later, he came back out and said, "You know what? Go ahead. Do it. It's your damn car and your drill. Just make sure you measure first." Then, he walked back in the house.

Tell your friend to drill, saw and cut as much as he likes. It's his. Just do it right.

    2014! Woo Hoo!
