If you like it , do it. It's all about what you want not what we think!

all you need is love....or V8 motor mounts from a late 64 to 66 Dart/Cuda/Valiant - to put a late small block 318/340/360 in it.....oh and the oil pan....really not that hard to find.....

They only made 9500 wagons in '61. I always considered my car rare but not too desirable.

I'd street rod it, didn't the drag racers put 426 hemis in them and run super stock? The car will attract a lot of attention. The drag racers ran Keystone wheels and hood scoops

  6. That old six was a good driven around engine and yes that can be tweaked to the max if you are of a mind to. I had a 440 sedan with the half a 12 in it and just loved that old car.

^^Those sixes are great motors. I have a friend who built up two of them...sound like a farm tractors on steroids.

a v 8 bolts right in using 1964-66 Dart or Valiant V8 mounts on your /6 Kframe You will haveto get a better rear end eventually as the7 1/4 is light duty. I did know where a set of 391s were....I the car wasnt on the other side of the country, I would love a lancer. I found a 60 Valiant wagon but the front end and motor mounts are different in 1960-61. Hurst did make mount for those though. But yours are easy.Nice car.

  10. Our family car in the '60s was a '62 Valiant wagon, red on red. Small slant six, and I still managed to get a speeding ticket with it. Wish I had that car now.
