I’ve read a bunch about the Loadomatic timing advance system but never really messed with it. I ported it to the front carburetor on my 223 and called it done. Regretfully I didn’t try to split the signal between both carbs, nor did I really do***ent what I had.

When I decided to (learn how to) start tuning for the long run, I learned about the 300 I-6 swap. Simply ream out the 223 gear, install on the 300 distributor and go. That’s what I’m doing now and somehow I’ve dragged it out for about a year now lol but enough about that.

What I did not find in my search was any information on aftermarket / performance spark valves. Imagine what could have been accomplished by simply swapping in an adjustable spark valve. Set the baseline, idle advance, then fine tune the acceleration timing. Did I miss something here?
