Made a tool to reinstall the hood springs on my Chevy, Had to use engine hoist to retension the springs, first attemp launched an iron bar, spring and tool about 30 feet into the air. still it worked in the end. also stripped all of the interior and got the dash back to bare metal and then primed in etching primer. Should get the car in paint in the next couple of weeks.

Got my 301 trial 1/2 trial assembled to clay out,and drove the wheels off my 64 camino, tried to test to see if it's loose or tight in corners and even got pulled over for the first and probably not the last time in it, I guess here in washington you have to have taillights and BOTH headlights working at night, almost, fixed them too

    Hit 2 car shows too

Found last week that on a Model A banger motor, what sounds like lifter knock can also be a VERY loose timing gear. Thankfully it failed while idling in the driveway.

    SO, installed new timing gear.

After almost four months of rare rear end hell, I finally got my '62 Suburban back on the road. 3.42 traction lock Dana 44...I'm real happy with it.
I'm also now an expert on '60-'62 Chevy and GMC truck rear ends, rear suspensions, rear end options and everything else you'd want to know from the driveshaft back. I'm not at all happy about that.
