I found a bit of odd behavior here, I think. Opened up this thread... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/prep-roof-for-sound-deadening.1110386/#post-12599542 ...and as I scrolled to the bottom the reply window appears to show that I intended to quote the first post in its entirety in a reply. Only I didn't, to the best of my knowledge, click either the "Quote" or "Reply" ****ons. It just kind of showed up that way on its own. Actually, this is the first time I've even opened up this thread. I'm running a Win10 Pro desktop using Firefox. I'll have to check how it works on IE.
Curiouser and curiouser. It's doing the same thing in Win 7 Ultimate on my home desktop in Firefox Quantum and IE 11. And I have noticed the same thing happening here before on a different thread. I just haven't dug into it this deeply before to find it occurring on different PCs and different browsers. Which all makes me think that this isn't something gone wonky on my end.
Just that one and maybe a couple other random threads. Went back just now and checked the link I posted above and the Reply window is clear like it's supposed to be. But there have been a couple of new replies posted since it started happening. Also, there's been a couple times where when I start typing a reply to a thread I noticed that the font defaults to italics. But that seems to have cleared itself up also in the last week or so.
Went to reply to a thread yesterday and once again the font had defaulted to italics. As a matter of fact it's doing the same thing as I type in this reply. It's easy enough to correct before replying so it's just an annoyance really. But of course I keep thinking it's something I'm doing on my end. Actually it seems to fix itself when I click the preview ****on.
This is what I was seeing. Please don't tell me that it's always worked this way. See... It's not even showing any tags for italics in the BB Code.
