Technical three carb flathead Offy intake fan issue

I have a 49 Merc flathead EAC. wanting traditional look. I found an offset bracket for the Generator, but my intake has no provision for a fan? any help would be appreciated.

 

Is it the early triple carb intake?

I have a triple offy 59a intake but it has the provision for the fan and generator

 

It’s early one. No provisions.

 

There was a yoke made that mounts to the front four bolts of the intake to hold the 42-48 style fan mount. I know Weiand made them as that's the kind I have. They are hard to find, but a guy could make one from steel to do the same thing.

 

What are you going to do about the oil fill and venting the engine?

Late flatheads had vent plumbing under the intake for the road draft tube that exited the front. The vent intake was the front oil fill tube. The long road draft tune was the exit.

Early flatheads used had a vent somewhere on the oil pan if I remember correctly and the vent intake/oil fill was above the fuel pump on the fuel pump tower.

Please post photos showing the big picture of what you are dealing with. Would be a big help.
Do you have the correct intake for your engine to breath properly.? A pre 1949 intake may bolt on
but it won't breath properly.
