Hey guys I'm getting ready to set up a three duece intake on a sbc, looking for some pointers. So far I have two holley 94 model 59's, looking for one more if anyone that reads this has one! I have some progressive linkage from eelco, but I don't know if running progressive is the way to go or not? I think I only need one with a choke, which means that I'll need to plug the horn and the power valve in the other two. Which one do I run with a choke? Any info would be great guys, I appreciate it!

I just put a 3 duece set up on my SBC....though with 2 jets....I will tell you my expreiences,

Run the progressive linkage....you dont need all 6 barrels running at all times....I have mine set up to kick the 4 remaining barrels in a gnats *** below half throttle.....you can cruise on the freeway using two barrels, as long as I keep my foot out of it, my fuel economy is awesome....(granted I've not figured out how to do this...it flat screams @ WOT)

Second, your center carb is considered the primary carb, thats the one that has the idle circuits and choke, the outer carbs are your secondary carbs and do not have the idle or choke...

Dont know a whole hell of alot on 94's therefore I wont blow smoke up your *** bout them, I will tell you about the 2 jets if you can figure out how to cross reference the data....I'm running a 56 jet in the primary and 55's in the secondarys....works a treat, did the rough in tune, and it fired on the first hit, hooked the vac guage on it and fine tuned it and I havent touched it scince....

    Quickly:
Yeah, progressive is way to go! Use center carburetor as a primary, it's the one which you'll want to rebuild with choke. When rebuilding others, plug power valve and idle circuit. More info when you'll search here at HAMB.

About progressive linkage; for fast operation, attach linkage near axle on throttle body. To get slower action, attach linkage further from that axle. I know which one you'll prefer... :D

HAMBer "Vintakes" wrote great article about multi-carburetor systems, you'll find it on TECH-forum.

    three 97's.
    Eelco progressive linkage.

    1- Center is primary w/ .45 jets
retain choke capabilities. throttle shaft to plunger is set on "S".

    2- Front is seccondary w/ .44 jets
retain choke capabilities. throttle shaft to plunger is set on "W".

    2- Rear is seccondary w/ .44 jets
retain choke capabilities. throttle shaft to plunger is set on "W".

Make sure gas does not exceed 3.5 psi feed.

Uncle Max on the board is a wealth of knowledge. Look him up.

    Out,
