Looks like maybe three engines between the blue press and the garage door, with an Offy in the middle.

Does he want to adopt a son? :)

I'm curious what the heads are on the blue engine up on the stand...with the blower?

Some sorta overhead other than ardun...looks like 4 letters cast in the vc, but I can't make it out.

I also see a single carb adadper for an Edelbrock Slingshot...heard of them, but never seen one.

    I can't stop looking...

What a neat collection. I really admire guys who save all this stuff and use it...can't wait to see the finished 5-window...and, yeah, I also wondered where he got the solid Halibrands...or the manifold for the Ardun.

Six pin solid Halibrands aren't that uncommon, at least when compared to the 5-lug ones; still expensive, however. The manifold looks to be the stock log manifolds that have been modified to allow the use of two carbs each. The intake logs from my father's Ardun have been modified in a similar fashion.

I have an old business partner that had told me the story of the roadster and of Bill's talent. I would get to see a few pictures every now and then,,, but nothing like these. If I ever get my 5 window up and running I just might take a test drive to Az and see if I can find Bill, but I will have to park mine down the street so as not to disgrace Bill's driveway. Man that stuff is way cool.

    Hey Neal,

Sorry it took a few days to get you an answer, it's been a busy weekend getting the fordoor ready for paint. The trans in the project five window is called an X-Shift. It uses Chevy 3-speed gears (mid-50's and later), and Bill doesn't think very many of them were ever made.

I'll post some more random shots from the garage when I get time to upload them. Thanks.

    -Ryan

    Awesome. Simply awesome!

Where have I seen that wall before? Anyone know if pictures of his flathead ignition, head, and intake collection were used in Frank Otto's flathead book?

That's just plain obscene !!! I got some stuff, but I guess I don't have any neat stuff!! When I was a lad in H.S. working at the service station a local used to come in in a green "40 Merc coupe with small block Chev and a special aluminum case ****** with 3 speed chev gears. I had a '57 with 3sp & later T-10 & I thought what a waste I can't keep the syncros in on a Tuesday night.
